I remember when I started all of this internet marketing business a little over two years ago. I remember signing up for CJ.com and having to go through an approval process. I remember ebay rejecting my affiliate application the 1st time around. I also recall, other networks out there…some not very people friendly.

Finally, the day came when I got approved for an account! So excited, I signed in only to discover that I had to get approved with each individual program I wanted to affiliate myself with. Here we go again.

Well…time passes and now I get approved for a couple of relevant places that have products I want to promote on my new blog. Then I need to get the right html or java script code, head over to my blog and mask the link with a plugin, grab the banner I want to use, download it, save it to my desktop, rename it, FTP the newly renamed image to a specific folder within my public_html. Whew

Then I need to make sure the new code is is right, put it in a widget, hit save, refresh the page. Oh damn. I forgot the and the end and the image is too big. Crap. Ok. Fix that. Wait a minute. What was that target blank thing again? Try it out.

Finally! My first affiliate marketing ad! Hoooooray! Now I only need to do that 5-6 more times for this site. Plus I’ll need to mask some more links. And Oh. I wonder if I got approved for that Pepperjam program.

Can you feel me? (lol)
