I have tried both google and yahoo search engine and so far I have no problem with regards to finding anything I want in the internet. They provide good services. With bing, I haven’t tried it yet.

I am not sure whether an unified search engine would do good enough. In my opinion, Yahoo and Bing are far from reaching Google’s expertise. However, their union could make possible a 25% of market share. Even you can note at the bottom of yahoo website that the site is powered by Bing.
They are still crappy to me. I have used Yahoo for my searches and at some point it is not that good as Google is. Either way there is 25% of the share let’s SEO for them too.

For alternative SERP’s outside of Google always include the URL of your XML sitemap in your Robots.txt file as this is where they look! All helps when looking at your overall marketing mix. Google dominates 92% of UK searchers, 1.9% Yahoo and 3.5% Bing; therefore why not take advantage of all 3.
