Learn with me how to capture screen videos using Jing. Then, how to either put the videos on your blog with an embed code or as a link through FTP. Plus, correct aspect ratios when recording and how to re-size your Jing/Screencast video embed codes properly. This is a raw post and we will learn Jing screen capture and embedding together.

Effective internet marketing, for me at least, always seems to involve a serious learning curve. Learning Wordpress, WP Plugin applications and settings, affiliate marketing strategies, article marketing and link building systems, auto blogging, etc. Actually, it’s one of the things I love about internet marketing. Always a challenge with so much to discover.

Video screen capture is something I have been working with and you may have seen some of my earlier “productions” uploaded to youtube.com. I have a Mac so I was using Screenium. It works but I haven’t mastered it yet as many times it sounds as though I’m in the middle of an endless barrel tube…lol. This is sad to admit to you, as I have actually made several short films (for fun and competition) some of which actually received awards. But I digress.

The point here is that creating videos through screen capture, for information, affiliate marketing, reviews and opinion is something I feel we all need to be doing…consistently. The problem has been trying to find an effective way to do it that creates a visually clear, audibly crisp video production that can be distributed as quickly as possible. And with as few steps as possible.

Jing is completely new to me. I’m learning about it through a fantastic program, where you can get people to complete outsourcing through Replace Myself – learn how and where to hire quality workers in the Philippines to work for you…at a fraction of the price you would pay someone in the USA or UK, etc. I digress again Here we go…

How To Do The Jing Thing

Anyway, so far…I love Jing. Excellent quality and I can upload to youtube, facebook, flickr, or now a favorite, just FTP straight to the web site. Or get the Screencast embed code and paste it on your blog post with a little change to the code.

Here is now, a test to see if Jing will embed on this blog post as just a link:

Ok. Think that worked. Yep. It sure did and the large screen size and quality is amazing! Now I have gone to screencast.com and created a new test folder so that we can try an embed code issued through screencast/jing after recording.

By the way, it is suggested that you record at a 960×540 screen size, then when embedding, change that to a 640×360 to fit the blog. Of course you can adjust this to your specific needs on your blog and here are some ideas that maintain the aspect ratio of your Jing video (height and width) without skewing or warping it out:

Record Jing Video at 960×540 – A 16:9 Aspect Ratio

Here are some proper video aspect ratio sizes you can try – just reduced

• 640×360
• 576×324 (this is 60% of the original size)
• 480×270 (this is 50% of the original size)
• 320×180

By the way, if you are going to do your own calculation, assuming you recorded at the 960×540 aspect ration with Jing, just reduce the size equally for the height and width. So, take 960 as the width and divide that by two to get 480 as the aspect ratio. Then take 540 and divide that by two as well. You get 270 pixels as you height ratio. You can apply this formula to create any size video you need.

Next, here is another Jing video embed that explains how to get the Screencast / Jing embed code and how to change that codes video display parameters to a smaller size you can post on your blog. I set this one to 576×324 this time to see if it fits on this blog post:

Sweet. Everything is looking great and it sounds good too. Now only if I would quit barking into the mic…lol…or get a better headset Jing offers Jing Pro with advanced capabilities for only $14.95 a year. For that small change and what it will do, I’m signing up.

Whenever you search for info on “how to research keywords” you are informed to search out long tail keywords with lower competition and great search volume. Precisely what they don’t inform you is how to distinguish the info hunters from the buyers.

Are you aware that when a man or woman sets out to find a specific thing online they’re possibly a) looking for information on a certain thing or b) looking to buy the specific thing! How would you ever know?

That is, maybe you have a post or page you’re not wanting people to see so much. This is one way to do it. However, you should be warned that the search engines do not always take note of this request and those spider bots will list it anyway.

If that’s the case, it’s best to protect any content you want to keep private with some sort of a password.

Learn Affiliate Marketing

I’ve been busy posting information about how to learn affiliate marketing and granted, there is a mountain of stuff to wade through. Fortunately, if you keep your focus and select a proven system of marketing online, you can succeed. No. It doesn’t happen overnight. If anyone tells you this, putt on the ear muffs and head out the door.

Can it happen fast? Depends on what your idea of "fast" is. Either way, it will require work on your part to put all the pieces together in an overall effective system. So. Where to begin? First, learn if this is what you want to do. Discover exactly this affiliate marketing business is all about.

As mentioned in my last post about online affiliate programs, it’s quite easy to become distracted and even easier to buy 10 different online marketing programs and let them collect the preverbial "dust" on your hard-drive. I’ve made this mistake myself. Don’t you do the same.

Can you find much of this information free online? Certainly. Do you have the time to do that? Maybe you do. I tried this approach and it consumed much of my time. In the end, I decided to learn from those who had gone before me. You may want to do the same. 

If you know you want to get started but aren’t sure where to begin, here are two great ideas. I only recommend programs that I have purchased and had success with, or am seeing great results in the process. Otherwise, I’m simply talking out of my as@ and no one wants to hear (or see) that!

Keep it simple: Start with JUST ONE proven way to learn affiliate marketing. Then, see it through to the end. Don’t stop half-way through. Don’t sign up for another affiliate program until you have completed the first.

Look into these. It won’t matter what niche you are interested in, one of these will work for you: and work well.

PS: Here is an example of how your Author Box should look. Note that the anchor text hyperlinks are the right keywords for this topic. You would have a similar Author Box and utilize your well-researched keywords. These links then, will be distributed to 100’s if not 1,000’s of directories all over the internet. So. If it happened to go out to 852 directories you would have either 852 links pointing to your website (with one hyperlink or 1,704 with two).

Twittollower Review And Video: A Real Investigation

 Sometimes, effective internet marketing help comes along in the form of software tools that claim to be the next biggest thing since sliced bread. Unfortunately, many of these are extremely complicated to use, frustrating in their application and in the end, a total waste of money and a complete loss of time.

On the 15th of this month, January, 2010, I was presented with yet another miracle application: Twittollower 

I had certainly heard of Tahir Shah (i.e.: How To Avoid The Marketing Nightmare with Chris Freeman) and do think of him as an honest internet marketing gentleman…so, thought I’d give it a try. After all, if I spend my hard earned money on it first and it’s a complete failure, then that will save you both time and money. Something most of us value greatly.

Following is a collection of my videos, images and information for this Twittollower Video Review.

As of the last update and last video, I had over 620 new targeted twitter followers, was following more that 800 people and I honestly didn’t do a thing! That is incredible.

At this pace, I will have well over 2,000 new followers in less than 30 days and they guarantee at least that amount every month. The sign up was easy, the set up was fast and all one really needs to do is send some quality tweets now and again.

Do I recommend Twittollower ? Yes I do.

Unless you have been living on another planet chances are you have heard the term Web 2.0 Sites. I am also willing to bet that you have heard all the stories about those individuals that have struck it rich by using them. Underneath the hype and the b.s. there are literarily thousands and thousands of web 2.0 sites that are popping up every day. What this means is that the social network game has become a little confusing to say the least.

Why do you need to target specific social network sites? If you choose to follow the crowd you will get left in the dust every time. Don’t be afraid to do your own thing. The majority of Internet Marketers simply jump on the bandwagon out of fear of missing out on the next greatest thing. I have coined this phrase throwing darts in the dark. Some get lucking and land a bulls-eye while the majority miss the point all together.

I think it’s safe to say that you are sick and tired of being the one that is always missing the point and you are ready to cut out the bull crap. Sit back and watch closely as I pull back the curtains on the Web 2.0 Sites. I will literally hand over a few tips on how you can easily chose the right site that will benefit you. I will also show you a video that will reveal seven social web 2.0 sites that will send traffic to any website today.

Don’t worry I will tell you where to find the video later. For now let me arm you with a few tools that will allow you to distinguish between those sites that will benefit you and those that are just a waste of your time. Not all social networking sites will benefit your niche market. A great example of that is the current phenomenon that has the media buzzing is Twitter.

Once the media began to release stories of people striking it rich using twitter everyone and there mother began to sign up. Now from Twitter’s view this is a good thing. From the outside looking in it appears that Twitter is growing by leaps and bounds. This means they can attract more financiers and generate more money for there company. No one wants to be left out so the Twitter buzz begins to snowball and people start talking about it on Soap Operas, and late night television this increase Twitters legendary status.

I’m not sure who originally said it but it was some one much smarter than me who said that history has a way of repeating it’s self. Case in point… MySpace. A few years ago MySpace was the social network heavyweight champ. Their pages were ranking well in the search engines. Here’s the truth about all social networking sites/Web 2.0 sites or whatever you want to called them. They are only tools that you should use to get listed in search engines and to generate traffic. No one social networking site is going to make you rich. If you want to make money from them use them as a lead generator and that’s it. DO NOT TRY TO MAKE A DIRECT SELL USING THEM.

The main question is…. Where do you get started? The answer is simple… You start by defining your needs. What is your primary goal? For the sake of this article we are going to say that you only care about generating traffic to your blog. Since that is the case were not going to be concerned with rather the social network gives do follow links or no follow links. Either will still send traffic to your website.

The reason being is that you simply want the traffic that the site will generate. You don’t care about the other benefits of social networks. Now on the other hand if you are looking to build high quality backlinks you should be more concerned with focusing on those social networks that have do follow links. In a nutshell this means that when the search engine spiders visits that particular social network they will follow your link and give you credit or points depending on your anchor text as well as index your website or blog. I recently came across this article discussing an overview of ways to earn with the ClickBank program. Thought I’d take a moment and post it here. For those learning about how to become an affiliate marketer, ClickBank is certainly one place you’ll want to investigate if not join. 

One certain advantage to the ClickBank program is that most affiliate products there are information or software related. The best term for this is "Digital" products. As such, the commissions earned are much higher than say, promoting a physical product on ebay or amazon. So this is a good thing, right? Yep!

The ClickBank program features two sides. You can sell and promote other peoples products or, you can create your own and have others ther sell it for you. The latter would be the ideal scenario however, most will not have their own digital product to sell. Additionally, there are thousands of products covering all kinds of niches so you won’t be hurting for ideas.

One Part Of Being An Affiliate Marketer Is That It’s Easy To Get Started!

It is easy to get started being an affiliate for ClickBank. There are thousands of products to promote. All you have to do is go through the Marketplace and browse through it and find the products that you have an interest in and/or that you or someone may buy.

The Google keyword tool may help you in this aspect. When you choose the product enter the most generic keyword that would apply to your product. In other words, when promoting a product on how to cure Asthma, use the keyword "Asthma" then click the Get Keyword button. You will use the match type drop down box and select Phrase Match. Then you will be sorting through the list, by clicking on the column Title you will be in the descending order of global search volume. Now you will use any keywords that are between 10000 and 30000 global monthly searches, that has to do with your product. It’s possible that there won’t be any keywords that you are able to use. Being very careful about selecting only the ones that will work for you, so be patient and don’t get discouraged.

So you will need to see if you will rank in Google for the terms that will bring the traffic to the product that you will be advertising in the online market. You will type the keyword or phrase in quotes. An example is with the keyword phrase "help Asthma," you will type "help Asthma" into Google. You’ll see the results as "Results 1-10 of about xx,xxx" on the right upper hand side. If it is less than 100,000 go on to the next step. If it is not discard that keyword.

Next do another Google search by typing inurl: "keyword phrase". An example is "cure tinnitus". Take a look at the number of results again. If that number is below 1,250, this keyword should bring the traffic you re looking for. Make a note of it. If you have picked a BlogSpot blog, Blogger.com it’s easy to build a nice-looking site quickly, and blogs usually rank very well in Google. You will pick the keyword phrase that has the highest search volume with the lowest competition numbers and that seems to be the best fit for someone looking to actually buy your specific product. There are really no wrong answers here, just go with your instinct.

When you build your BlogSpot blog sign up and make sure you watch the tutorials on how to create content like posts. Next you want to make the blog title your keyword phrase. And make the blog address (URL) contain the keyword phrase you’ve picked in some way. So in our example, best-Asthma-help, my-Asthma-help, etc., all will work good. Dashes are okay, so with a little creativity you should have no trouble coming up with a name that has not been taken.

The goal is to inform and to sell and look like you’re not selling. You need to provide valuable content from the Pitch Page of the product, as well as outside resources. Add your HopLink to the actual product using text and possibly images. You are able ti get images from an affiliate page for the product most of the time, which can be found in the product’s Vendor Spotlight in the ClickBank Marketplace. NEVER make up information about the product! Either you buy the product or have someone you know purchase the product, and give a truthful and accurate opinion of it.

Link building is one key to search engine optimization, and will quickly get you included in search engine results for the keyword you’re targeting. The process of getting a backlink is a little different, but you can’t go wrong here. The three things to do is get a link to your site, use your keyword phrase in the description or tag when you’re using a bookmarking site and use your keyword phrase as the "anchor text" (your click link) whenever possible. Don’t worry about getting this perfect but make sure your link works properly. Because if it does not work right you will not get any traffic !!!

The most important part of the process of keyword research is Having PATIENCE. If you take your time and find the right keywords, the rest will take care of itself.

Google, Bing, Yahoo comes along and takes a look and notices that your website is the ONLY ONE out there that has this unique information on this subject. Others have copied, word for word an old article that has been floating around the internet for years. Who do you think the search engines will favor? Yep. Your site!

Traditional article marketing strategies had you publish the same content to multiple article directories. When the same article is published then republished again, Google and the other search engines dub this: duplicate content. Duplicate content will not rank like original content. Period.

2) Keeps on going and going… Once those unique content articles have been submitted and published, they will work for you year after year after year. As you continue to write more fresh content and submit it you will eventually gain respect as being an authority on the subject.

With each article submission, there is an Author box at the bottom. In the author box, you will create one or two links pointing back to your site depending on the directory and their rules. Imagine that article marketing strategy working for you when you have hundreds if not thousands of quality links pointing to your site. Yep. The search engines LOVE that as well.

Don’t get me wrong. A little work is required on your part, however, what they can do for your SEO efforts is fantastic.

Unique Article Wizard (UAW) takes so much pain out of the process. As an example: they automatically create all accounts at all the directories for you. No more signing up individually for each and every directory. Whew.

Article marketing has gained a great deal momentum over the last two years. This is due to the fact that many websites, not to mention website rankings, are driven by quality content. As web site owners have learned more about search engine optimization and the value of quality content, they have gravitated towards article marketing.

For anyone who is not yet using article marketing I suggest that you start today. It costs nothing to begin and can pay huge dividends. Article marketing is here for the long term. Many people I speak to about article marketing are concerned that the space is too crowded and they are late to the game. The truth is that you don’t have to be concerned that others are using article marketing because it works no matter how many people use it.

Article marketing is effective because you search engines love quality content. Moreover, you are producing content that will be ranked by search engines and including a link back to your website. Content focused around specific keywords is identified by search engines to display when users search on a particular niche or topic of interest. When your article includes links back to your website, you pass value back to your site.

When you post your article on article directory websites, your content receives additional exposure and is added to related content. As your article ages you benefit from the Google page rank assigned to your article. If you included article back to your website, the value is passed back to your website.

A common mistake that is made when website owners start their article marketing campaign, is they forget to link back to their own website. Sometimes new marketers remember to insert a link to their website but the link is designed in the wrong manner. The right way to develop in bound links is by using keyword rich link text.

If not sure about the best method to produce a keyword rich link, search Google for a tutorial or simply the html code you need to produce a link in the right way. There are many websites that can provide instructions for creating links that display your keywords in the link text. This is essential if you are going to get the full value of article marketing.

Once you have written your articles and included properly formatted links, you can submit them to article directories. Make sure that the sites you are submitting to have a high Google PR and are popular. I used to think that the benefit of article directories was the fact that many web site owners frequent these sites for content. But the real value is the Google PR that the site provides and passes your website through your links.

Many of these online article sites do not distribute content at all. In fact, the percentage of individuals copying content and pasting it on their site correctly is fairly limited. That said, if you focus on the top sites you derive most of your value from getting your articles posted on their website.

Create your articles and design them properly. Include links to your website in the author box. You can also try including links in the flow of text but this is sometimes not allowed by article websites. Keep in mind that your links should use keywords in the anchor text. Before you submit your articles, test all of your links to make sure they work properly. Then, you are off and running.

Well. Nearly threw this article into the trash as the title really didn’t seem to fit what I was hoping to find. However, after reading through it, I liked the direction this author was taking. It’s so easy to get swept away in dreams of becoming a successful internet marketer. Getting there overnight, no matter what anyone says, never happens. It takes hard work, a strong learning curve, planning and consistent action on your part.

One secret to internet marketing success is  goal setting. Whenever I forget to plot out my goals, write them down and make a serious plan of attack, I fail. Sad but true. In fact, every incredibly successful online marketer I have studied discusses the absolute importance of setting goals. Perhaps you have many great ideas and things already in place. You’re not quite there and need something. This could be your answer. Let’s both set some goals today and be very specific about the outcome we wish to obtain.

So ladies, nevermind the title and/or just insert "Women" where it says men. These concepts apply to both genders.
